Young Tasmania Sings Tuesday 2 July

Young Tasmania Sings

A celebration of young voices – night 1

Tues 2 July – 7.00 pm
Federation Concert Hall
From $22

Join young singers from Tasmanian school and community youth choirs as they sing with joy in our annual combined choir event with guest conductor Anthony Trecek-King alongside The Tasmanian Youth Orchestra.

Additionally, each evening’s concert will feature guest performances from Tasmanian and visiting youth choirs.

Young Tasmania Sings brings together youth choirs in a cooperative, non-competitive endeavour. It also:

  • Includes choirs from all school systems alongside community youth choirs
  • Provides an opportunity for over 400 young singers ages 10 to 14 to work together with a visiting expert director and share the outcomes with family, friends and the community
  • Creates the opportunity for young singers to perform with a full orchestra as an integral part of the program
  • Demonstrates pathways for young singers by including choral items from a range of guest choirs.

The accomplished young musicians in this orchestra range in age from 14 to 25 and represent some of Tasmania's finest young musical talent.
