Festival of Voices’ Pay-it-Forward Initiative

At Festival of Voices, we are passionate about making sure that everyone is welcome and able to attend the Festival. We pursue this goal in various ways, one of which is through ongoing conversations and measures related to financial accessibility. We host a diverse range of free events, including The Big Sing and the Pop-up Program, and set our ticket prices to be as accessible as possible for as many people as possible, offering a broad range of ticket prices across the program. This year, we are expanding our financially accessible options by implementing Serenade a Stranger.

Serenade a Stranger, Festival of Voices’ pay-it-forward initiative, helps to make our events accessible to those who can’t afford to purchase a ticket. When buying a ticket, you have the option to donate to the scheme, and your donation will support someone else to attend. Any donations into this pay-it-forward scheme over $2 are tax-deductible.

Please note that major workshop registrations aren’t included in our pay-it-forward initiative. However, we’re open to discussing requests on a case-by-case basis.
