Are you a member of a choir or vocal ensemble and planning to travel to the Festival of Voices?

This non-competitive, joy-filled experience offers choirs from across the country the opportunity to participate in Australia’s pre-eminent choral festival. Choirs get to sing in a welcoming, inclusive environment, perform in unique settings and attend special festival events. The opportunity to explore Hobart and Tasmania is encouraged while meeting and networking with choral friends and colleagues.

General information

Our Touring Choir Package offers choir members the opportunity to sing at some of Tasmania’s most renowned locations. From art galleries to historic sites, this package is the ultimate way to ‘discover Tasmania’ whilst singing for audiences of all sizes!

What's included?

Pop-up Program

Surprise and delight audiences around Hobart and in unique locations across the city. Choirs are invited to perform for guests and passers-by in a creatively curated program.

The Singers’ Lounge

Often described as the heart and soul of Festival of Voices, we think it’s our best-kept secret!  Friends – old and new – revel in the glory of scheduled and impromptu performances (sometimes until the wee hours). Audiences are treated to spontaneous song by some of our big-name performers who in turn have been known to encourage anxious altos and timid tenors to overcome any performing fears to bask in the safe and welcoming arms of our audience. It’s always bustling – the ultimate singers love-in!   As well as performing with your choir, the Touring Choir Package grants you unlimited free entry to the Singers’ Lounge (subject to capacity).

Salamanca Super Sing

Join in the fun of a public flash mob performance at the iconic Salamanca Market. Led by Chris Blain from Men in Suits, entertain hundreds of marketgoers and then help lead a singalong on the site of our Big Sing. There will be a rehearsal for this performance in the Salamanca Arts Centre.

Finale Concert Performance

We are excited to provide the opportunity to Touring Choir members to sing in the Federation Concert Hall as part of our Finale Concert. Paul Jarman will lead a massed choir performance to open this special concert. A rehearsal for this performance will be held in the Salamanca Arts Centre, with a quick rehearsal in the Federation Concert Hall.
