Dip your toe into the world of classical choral performance with this short workshop celebrating Mozart! You’ll have the chance to collaborate with like-minded music lovers and perform at a major concert venue, accompanied by an expanded Hobart Chamber Orchestra.
In the 2-hour workshop session, you will rehearse three well-known works with outstanding choral director Dr Elizabeth Scott. Repertoire will include:
- Ave Verum Motet
- ‘Lacrimosa’ from Requiem
- ‘Alleluia’ from Exsultate, Jubilate
Participants will then perform as part of our major choral concert on Sunday, 30 June.

Booking fee
- For bookings with a total value of $15 or less, a booking fee of $3 will be added upon check-out.
- For bookings with a total value between $15.01 and $199.99, a booking fee of $5 will be added upon
check-out. - For bookings with a total value of $200 or more, a booking fee of $10 will be added upon check-out.

Wheelchair accessibility
- For wheelchair bookings, please contact the festival with the specifications and dimensions of the wheelchair and any additional user requirements.
- The Hobart Town Hall Ballroom on level 1 is accessible to wheelchair users via a lift on the ground floor, located to the right of the staircase. The lift is also accessible via the rear car park and requires interaction with an intercom to gain access. This car park is accessible from Elizabeth Street. Please see the entryway to this car park here.
- Accessible bathrooms are available on the ground floor of the Hobart Town Hall only.
Elizabeth has been the Musical Director of Vox, Sydney Philharmonia’s youth choir since 2008 and has built this ensemble into one of Australia’s leading youth choirs. She regularly works as a chorus master for the Sydney Symphony Orchestra and has prepared choirs for international conductors including Sir Simon Rattle, Simone Young and Stephen Layton. Appearing recently as a guest conductor for the Canberra Symphony Orchestra and the National Youth Choir of Australia, Elizabeth also regularly works with Gondwana Choirs and Cantillation and has performed and recorded with Pinchgut Opera and The Song Company.
