Festival of Voices

    Frequently asked questions

As a non-profit, we prioritise bringing singing and music to our communities, not maximising income. We work to make our ticket prices as affordable as possible, and we’ve shifted to an early bird pricing model instead of concession pricing. This change focuses on equity, allowing everyone the opportunity to secure tickets at a reduced price and helping us keep the festival accessible to as many people as possible.

Each event will have a set number of tickets available at the early bird price. Once these are sold, standard prices will apply. This ensures we can cover event costs while keeping the festival sustainable and maintaining affordable options for our audiences.

As Festival of Voices is an ACNC-registered charity, we do not charge GST over tickets or workshop registrations. Please note that all prices listed are in AUD.

If you lose your ticket, contact us, and we can resend it. We maintain a patron list for each event to assist in these situations.

Tickets are non-refundable, and exchanges or refunds are not permitted unless required by the Live Performance Australia Ticketing Code of Practice or Australian consumer law. We are always happy to discuss how we can best assist you.

If it rains, check the event page to see if your venue is outdoors so you can come prepared. Events will go ahead wherever possible, rain or shine, and refunds won’t be given for non-attendance due to weather.

If extreme weather forces a cancellation, our box office team will notify ticket holders, and refunds will be offered in line with the Live Performance Australia Consumer Code.

Food and drinks are available at many events but vary by venue. Check the event-specific web page or contact us if you’re unsure about available facilities.

Please note that this is a cashless festival, we accept card payments only.

Festival of Voices is committed to protecting the personal details of subscribers and patrons. Our full privacy policy can be viewed at festivalofvoices.com/privacy-policy/

Latecomers will be admitted at the first suitable break to minimise disruption to seated patrons. VIP and complimentary tickets may be resold if not used within 10 minutes of the show’s start time.

If you lose something at one of our events, we’ll do our best to return it to you.

During the Festival, lost items will be kept at the venue where they were found. For outdoor events like The Big Sing and Pop-up Program performances, lost items will be taken to the box office for collection.

For assistance, contact us at [email protected] or call 03 6224 5975.

While we offer family events as part of the Festival, some events include coarse language or venue restrictions. Relevant and up-to-date age restrictions can be found on the individual event pages.

Please note: Unless otherwise specified, Festival of Voices does not provide supervision of children 15 years and younger. All children requiring supervision must be accompanied by a supervising adult at all times and may be refused admission or attendance if not accompanied by a supervising adult.

Generally, babies in arms can be accommodated in aisle seats at the venue. Patrons are advised that ushers may request patrons with babies in arms to leave the auditorium to avoid disruption of the performance.

Children aged 2 years and older must have tickets purchased for performances.

Please visit Your wellbeing at the Festival for details on how we manage our patrons’ safety.

As of 12 October 2022, mask-wearing is no longer compulsory at events. We will, of course, continue to support anyone who wishes to wear a mask.

Patrons are advised that all FoV venues are non-smoking environments. Additionally, we kindly ask patrons not to smoke within 3 metres of the building entry or exit and 10 metres of a building’s air intake (ventilation equipment).
