Pay it Forward Initiative
At Festival of Voices, we are passionate about making sure that everyone is welcome and able to attend the Festival. We pursue this in a variety of ways, one of which is ongoing conversations and measures regarding financial accessibility. We hold a broad range of free events, including The Big Sing, and the Pop-up Program, and set the price points of our tickets to be as accessible for as many people as possible, with a broad range of ticket prices across the program. This year, we are expanding our financially accessible options by implementing Serenade a Stranger.
Serenade a Stranger, Festival of Voices’ pay-it-forward initiative, helps to make our events accessible to those who can’t afford to purchase a ticket. When buying a ticket, you have the option to donate to the scheme, and your donation will support someone else to attend. Any donations into this pay-it-forward scheme over $2 are tax deductible.

Please note that major workshop registrations aren’t included in our pay-it-forward initiative. However, we’re open to discussing requests on a case-by-case basis.
