Young Tasmania Sings – Night 1

A celebration of young voices – Night 1

Experience the joy and energy of young voices coming together in Young Tasmania Sings, our annual combined choirs spectacular.

Young performers from school and community youth choirs across the state come together in a spirited, cooperative celebration of choral music, led by guest conductor Lachlan Massey and joined onstage by the Tasmanian Youth Orchestra

Each evening also features special guest performances from outstanding Tasmanian and visiting youth choirs, showcasing the breadth of young choral talent and the exciting pathways available for developing singers.

Young Tasmania Sings is a unique non-competitive event that:

    • brings together choirs from all school systems alongside community youth choirs
    • offers over 400 singers aged 10–14 the chance to learn and perform under the guidance of a visiting expert director
    • creates the rare opportunity for young voices to sing with a full orchestra as an integral part of the program
    • celebrates the future of choral singing through performances by a range of guest ensembles

Join us for an uplifting night of collaboration, community, and the unmistakable sound of young Tasmanians singing as one.

    Our pricing model

As a non-profit, we prioritise bringing singing and music to our communities, not maximising income. We work to make our ticket prices as affordable as possible, and we’ve shifted to an early bird pricing model instead of concession pricing. This change focuses on equity, allowing everyone to secure tickets at a reduced price and helping us keep the festival accessible to as many people as possible.

Each event will have a set number of tickets available at the early bird price. Once these are sold, standard prices will apply. This ensures we can cover event costs while keeping the festival sustainable and maintaining affordable options for our audiences.
