Next Gen Voices: All Together Now

A trans-Tasman celebration of youthful voices in concert

A new festival initiative brings young singers from across the Tasman together in a one-night-only joyful celebration of singing.

For the first time, the Auckland Youth Choir will join with the TYO Tasmanian Youth Chorale and guest Tasmanian school choirs (to be announced) in a special concert uniting secondary school and college-aged singers from Hobart to Auckland.

This uplifting program will showcase the energy, artistry and spirit of the next generation of choral musicians, featuring a varied repertoire and highlighting the vibrant sounds of both Australian and New Zealand choral music.

The evening will culminate in a truly unforgettable festival moment:  a powerful combined finale performed by all participating singers, reflecting their shared workshop earlier in the day, rehearsing alongside members of the Auckland Youth Choir and respected conductor David Squire.  This is a celebration of connection, collaboration and song.

With celebrated Australian musician Paul Jarman as MC, audiences can expect a warm, engaging and inspiring night of music, community and youthful voices in full flight.

Whether you’re a choral music enthusiast, a supporter of young singers, or simply looking for an uplifting concert experience, this is an evening not to be missed.

    Our pricing model

As a non-profit, we prioritise bringing singing and music to our communities, not maximising income. We work to make our ticket prices as affordable as possible, and we’ve shifted to an early bird pricing model instead of concession pricing. This change focuses on equity, allowing everyone to secure tickets at a reduced price and helping us keep the festival accessible to as many people as possible.

Each event will have a set number of tickets available at the early bird price. Once these are sold, standard prices will apply. This ensures we can cover event costs while keeping the festival sustainable and maintaining affordable options for our audiences.
