Apply to PERFORM AT FESTIVAL OF VOICES

Festival of Voices invites artists and groups of all styles and abilities to apply to perform at our 2027 Festival. Based in Hobart but also performing across the state from 2–11 July 2027, we celebrate the joy of voices coming together in concerts, Pop-ups, workshops, and singalong experiences.

who can apply?

We welcome applications from:

• Tasmanian and interstate artists
• Solo singers, vocal ensembles, and cabaret artists
• Contemporary, jazz, family-friendly, and LGBTQIA+ performers
• Groups exploring innovative or interdisciplinary performance
• Artists with ideas for workshops or singalong experiences

We encourage performers of all abilities to apply. Our festival is First Nations-focused, inclusive, family-friendly, and LGBTQIA+ welcoming; diversity and creativity are at the heart of what we do.

Why perform at Festival of Voices?

Performing at Festival of Voices gives you the opportunity to:

• Receive guidance and support: Our festival team helps you prepare for a seamless and rewarding performance experience. We receive many applications every year, so unfortunately, we can only contact those whose proposals are a potentially good fit. If you have not heard from us within four weeks of submitting your application, it’s currently not the right time for us to work together.
• Reach new audiences: Perform for local communities, visitors from across Australia, and international guests.
• Showcase your talent: Appear in Hobart venues, regional stages, or as part of our Pop-up Program.
• Collaborate and network: Connect with other singers, choirs, composers, and creative artists.

application process

The program for 2026 has been finalised, but applications for 2027 are now open to all artists and singing groups. To apply, complete the online application form and include:

• A description of your proposed performance or project
• Audio or video samples (if available)
• Technical requirements and staging needs
• Any other supporting information

Festival of Voices is more than a festival — it’s a community of singers, performers, and audiences sharing the joy of music. Whether you’re a choir, solo artist, cabaret performer, or workshop facilitator, we want to hear your ideas.
