    Bangers and Mash Ups

A high-energy singalong celebration of iconic hits

Get ready to belt out your favourite hits like never before!

Grab a friend and dive into a night of mass karaoke mayhem that’ll have you singing at the top of your lungs, dancing on your feet, and harmonising with an electrifying live choir.

Bangers and Mash Ups was conceived by Jaqueline Larsen, founder of Soul Song Choirs, and Kerrie Polkinghorne of Vocalize Choir, bringing together their extensive backgrounds in music education and theatrical event production.

Experience a dynamic blend of power ballads, rock anthems, and disco hits from the ’60s to the ’90s, all under the guidance of vibrant vocal hosts from South Australia and Queensland. This 90-minute interactive singalong is perfect for shower singers, pop divas, and air guitar legends alike. Come together for a night filled with singing, games, and spontaneous competitions that will leave you grinning from ear to ear.

Following its sold-out debut at the Adelaide Fringe in March 2024, Bangers and Mash Ups continued its success with performances in Brisbane, Cairns, Townsville, and a return to the Adelaide Fringe in February 2025.

Audience members have praised the event’s energy and inclusivity. One attendee noted, “The entire crowd was “all-in” and it was an amazing thing to be part of. I had no intention of singing and I ended up singing along to every song. Such good vibes the whole time – it was banging!”

The show is set to make its international debut at the Brighton and Bath Fringe festivals in May and June 2025, promising more opportunities for audiences to join the fun.

Warm up those vocal cords, slip on your dancing shoes, and bring your sense of adventure. Whether you’re here for the harmonies, the lively crowd, or the sheer joy of singing your heart out, this is one night you won’t want to miss!

    Our pricing model

As a non-profit, we prioritise bringing singing and music to our communities, not maximising income. We work to make our ticket prices as affordable as possible, and we’ve shifted to an early bird pricing model instead of concession pricing. This change focuses on equity, allowing everyone to secure tickets at a reduced price and helping us keep the festival accessible to as many people as possible.

Each event will have a set number of tickets available at the early bird price. Once these are sold, standard prices will apply. This ensures we can cover event costs while keeping the festival sustainable and maintaining affordable options for our audiences.
