Apple Shed Shindig at Willie Smith's Apple Shed

    Apple Shed Shindig

Featuring Wolfefolk, Tuck Shop Ladies, the Wheelie Bin Orchestra, Bonsai & Mamma Rosa

*EVENT UPDATE* Cosier vibes incoming: Apple Shed Shindig now indoors

To make sure everyone stays warm, dry, and ready to enjoy a night of music, laughter, and good times, we’ve made the call to move the Apple Shed Shindig indoors at Willie Smith’s Apple Shed.

That’s right — no need to brave the chill or dodge the weather. The whole night of live entertainment will now take place inside the iconic apple packing hall, surrounded by warmth, atmosphere, and easy access to food and drinks.

Expect the same epic lineup — Wolfefolk, Tuck Shop Ladies, Wheelie Bin Orchestra, Bonsai and Mamma Rosa — with a whole lot more comfort.

    Artists:

    Wolfefolk
Led by the powerhouse violinist and vocalist Emily Wolfe, Wolfefolk brings foot-stomping Celtic energy. With a mix of traditional Tasmanian tunes, toe-tapping bluegrass, and original compositions, this performance will have you swaying and stomping along.

    Tuck Shop Ladies
Get ready for cheeky, irreverent humour from Sam Lohs and Rosie Burgess, the Australian ukulele folk duo. With tight harmonies, clever lyrics, and a comedic flair, they’ll keep you laughing all night long.

    The Wheelie Bin Orchestra
This dynamic three-piece percussion ensemble creates rhythm-filled magic using wheelie bins as instruments. Their performance is as bangin’ as it is brilliant, showcasing creativity and rhythm like never before.

    Bonsai
Feel the indie-pop-rock vibes from Bonsai, a fresh five-piece band from Hobart. With dual guitars, keyboards, bass, and drums, they deliver catchy melodies and a laid-back sound that will have you swaying in no time.

And guiding you through the madness is Mamma Rosa – your MC for the night! With sharp wit, big laughs, and plenty of audience antics, the vibrant alter ego of Rose Ottavi-Kokkoris blends comedy, storytelling, and music like no other.

There’ll still be fire pots outside if you want a bit of that fresh Huon Valley winter air, but inside’s where the party will be pumping.

So grab your ticket, bring your friends, and join us for a night that’s shaping up to be one of the cosiest and most unforgettable highlights of Festival of Voices 2025.

Tickets are still available – don’t miss out!

    Our pricing model

As a non-profit, we prioritise bringing singing and music to our communities, not maximising income. We work to make our ticket prices as affordable as possible, and we’ve shifted to an early bird pricing model instead of concession pricing. This change focuses on equity, allowing everyone to secure tickets at a reduced price and helping us keep the festival accessible to as many people as possible.

Each event will have a set number of tickets available at the early bird price. Once these are sold, standard prices will apply. This ensures we can cover event costs while keeping the festival sustainable and maintaining affordable options for our audiences.
