Festival of Voices

    Vivid

Tasmanian electronic funk band with Charlotte Lucretia & Lasca Dry

Get ready for a big night at Altar Bar as three dynamic local acts come together for a high‑energy gig blending disco sparkle, electronic artistry and heartfelt Tasmanian songwriting.Vivid brings the party atmosphere from the moment they take the stage, with a full hour of sequins, sparkles, disco and glitter, an 80s‑inspired celebration elevated with modern production, live instrumentation and vibrant vocals. It’s a set made for anyone who loves to dance, with no interval and no slowing down, so feel free to bring your best moves.

Joining the night is Charlotte Lucretia, offering an immersive 45‑minute journey through original electronic‑leaning tracks, intricate soundscapes and a touch of reimagined covers. Seamless transitions keep the momentum flowing, and her blend of voice, production and atmospheric textures makes her a compelling choice for electronic music fans or those curious about emerging local talent. Audiences of all ages are welcome, though her sonic palette leans toward a louder, full and enveloping sound.

Rounding out the lineup is acclaimed Tasmanian singer‑songwriter Lasca Dry, known for her heartfelt, slightly bittersweet and honest songwriting. Her haunting vocals and melodic style carry listeners through themes of life, love and loss, shaped by a unique blend of nostalgic warmth and forward‑thinking storytelling. Lasca performs regularly across Hobart’s major venues and has supported artists including Paul Dempsey and Davey Lane, with reviewers noting her songs are both direct and emotionally resonant. She largely performs originals, occasionally weaving in classics from artists such as The Beatles, John Lennon and Neil Young.

Together, these three artists create a vibrant and varied night of dancing, discovery and strong local talent – the kind of gig that reminds you why live music matters. Let the glitter, grooves and glowing vocals carry you through an unforgettable evening at Altar Bar.

    Our pricing model

As a non-profit, we prioritise bringing singing and music to our communities, not maximising income. We work to make our ticket prices as affordable as possible, and we’ve shifted to an early bird pricing model instead of concession pricing. This change focuses on equity, allowing everyone to secure tickets at a reduced price and helping us keep the festival accessible to as many people as possible.

Each event will have a set number of tickets available at the early bird price. Once these are sold, standard prices will apply. This ensures we can cover event costs while keeping the festival sustainable and maintaining affordable options for our audiences.
