Salamanca@6 is an event series added to the Festival of Voices 2026 program, celebrating emerging and early-career singers and ensembles who are helping shape the future of Tasmanian music. At 6 pm on selected evenings during the festival, audiences are invited to the Peacock Theatre to discover fresh voices, original ideas and the next wave of local talent. It’s a welcoming space where curiosity is encouraged, creativity is celebrated, and artists have the chance to share new work with an audience.
By offering a range of performers the opportunity to present their work as part of Tasmania’s longest-running winter festival, Salamanca@6 supports the development of aspiring vocalists while giving audiences the chance to experience something vibrant, immediate and full of possibility. Every performance is different, with each artist bringing their own style, story and perspective.
