Festival of Voices

    Come Sing Handel

Discover the grandeur of Handel in 2026!

Explore the richness of the world of classical choral performance at Come Sing Handel, a short workshop at the 2026 Festival of Voices.

Led by renowned choral director Dr Elizabeth Scott, this opportunity invites singers to come together for two inspiring sessions exploring some of Handel’s most thrilling and iconic works. Repertoire will include Zadok the Priest (from the Coronation Anthems) and the rousing Hallelujah Chorus from Messiah

Across the two workshop sessions, participants will rehearse these celebrated choruses before participating in the major choral concert on Sunday, 5 July at Federation Concert Hall with the Hobart Chamber Orchestra. It’s a chance to collaborate with like-minded music lovers and experience the excitement of large-scale choral music-making.

See the schedule below for full workshop and performance details. After registering, singers will receive further information and a digital copy of the music for the selected works.  Participants will need print a copy of their music and have their own black folder for rehearsal and performance.

I am very much looking forward to returning to Festival of Voices again in 2026.  Come and join us for the Come Sing Handel workshops where you will sing two of his most famous choral works, the Hallelujah Chorus and Zadok the Priest

    Our pricing model

As a non-profit, we prioritise bringing singing and music to our communities, not maximising income. We work to make our ticket prices as affordable as possible, and we’ve shifted to an early bird pricing model instead of concession pricing. This change focuses on equity, allowing everyone to secure tickets at a reduced price and helping us keep the festival accessible to as many people as possible.

Each event will have a set number of tickets available at the early bird price. Once these are sold, standard prices will apply. This ensures we can cover event costs while keeping the festival sustainable and maintaining affordable options for our audiences.
