    Yirrmal

Yirrmal is a powerful voice of First Nations storytelling. A proud member of the Rirratjingu clan from the North East Arnhem Land community of Yirrkala, he shares stories of joy, resilience, sadness and freedom through his authentic songwriting and expressive delivery.

His debut EP, Youngblood (2016), marked him as an emerging artist of remarkable depth. He went on to collaborate with Baker Boy, co‑writing and featuring on Marryuna (2017) and later contributing the tracks Ride and Somewhere Deep to the ARIA Award‑winning album Gela.

In 2020, Yirrmal recorded a series of celebratory works with producer Andrew Farriss at Piedmont Studio. He has since released a string of powerful singles including Dhaliwuy Bay, Get Happy, Promised Land (featuring Dami Im), Shining Light and Love Sweet Love.

Yirrmal’s artistry continues to evolve, grounded in culture and guided by a strong creative spirit. His work celebrates identity, community and connection — a testament to his passion for sharing stories that speak to the heart.
