    Rose Wilson

Singer, Songwriter & Music Educator (TAS)

Rose Wilson is a singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, singing teacher and generally enthusiastic human.

Rose holds a Bachelor of Music with a major in vocal performance, has taught singing and choirs for over 20 years, and has always delighted in singing in as many different styles and exploring as many different instruments as possible.

Rose can wax lyrical for hours about all the reasons why everyone is allowed to sing (whether they think they’re any good or not), about why it’s learnable, and about how our culture often robs us of the delight of singing-making under the weight of its various baggages around all things creative.

Rose loves community choirs- and considers singing in one one of the most soul-affirming, meaning-making, people-connecting and joy-inducing things a human can do. Rose has run choirs and workshops in many places, and currently runs four choirs in the Huon Valley- The Cygnet Song Circle, Cygnet Singamamma, The Little Boat Choir, and the Huon Homeschool Choir.
