    Michelle Brasier is an actor, singer, comedian and screenwriter best known for her work with sketch group, Aunty Donna. After studying musical theatre at VCA, Michelle went on to become a favourite of the global comedy scene. She has appeared as a cast member on Shaun Micallef’s Mad As Hell (ABC), Aunty Donna’s Big Old House Of Fun (Netflix), Aunty Donna’s Coffee Cafe (ABC), Koala Man (Disney), YOLO (HBO MAX) and Thank God You’re Here (Ten).

    Michelle’s one woman comedy-as-philosophy shows, Average Bear, Reform and Legacy have sold out seasons across Melbourne, Sydney, London, New York, LA and Edinburgh. Her debut solo hour Average Bear, described by the Sydney Morning Herald as ‘a miracle of a show’ sold out Soho Theatre in London in 2023, Dynasty Typewriter (LA) and Soho Playhouse Off-Broadway (NY) in March 2024.

    Awards include Best Writing (Green Room Awards), Directors’ Choice Melbourne International Comedy Festival and Directors Choice Sydney Comedy Festival as well as a coveted nomination for Most Outstanding Show (Melbourne Comedy Festival). Michelle’s second hour Reform saw its debut tour of the UK May/June 2024 and her third show Legacy sold out adding extra shows to huge demand at Melbourne International Comedy Festival in 2023.

    In 2024 Michelle was cast as Becky Leeman in the debut season of Riki Lindhome’s Drop Dead Gorgeous the musical (Alchemation). Michelle’s memoir, My Brother’s Ashes Are In A Sandwich Bag was named one of Apple’s Best Books of 2024 and first in the list of Audible’s Top Ten Memoirs of the year.
