DJ, filmmaker & event producer (NSW)
Dan Murphy is a celebrated DJ, filmmaker and event producer based in Sydney, with a career spanning more than 25 years across music, film and large-scale live experiences. A graduate of Griffith University with a Bachelor degree in Screen Production, Dan began developing his signature visual flair in the 1990s and has continued to bring that creative energy to projects across Australia and around the world.
His filmmaking work includes musical short films, community campaigns and music videos that pay homage to the golden age of Hollywood musicals. Dan’s Busby Berkeley–inspired video for Olivia Newton-John’s reimagined version of Magic earned him the award for Best Music Video, highlighting his talent for bold, playful and cinematic storytelling.
Alongside his screen work, Dan is a highly regarded DJ and producer, performing at clubs, corporate celebrations and major events for audiences from intimate gatherings through to crowds of 20,000. His remix and production credits include collaborations with Olivia Newton-John, Inaya Day and Marcia Hines, and he produced the soundtrack for the City of Sydney’s New Year’s Eve fireworks in 2020.
Dan has also created several long-running event brands. Since 2009, I Remember House has held a special place in dance culture, with uplifting house anthems bringing people together at events across the globe. More recently, he launched Club Broadway in 2024 — a singalong musical‑theatre nightclub experience that has become a touring phenomenon across Australia and New Zealand.
As a video director, Dan continues to create work that resonates widely. His projects for clients such as BMW, Pepsi, Beyoncé, Kylie Minogue, Olivia Newton-John and 20th Century Fox have generated tens of millions of views and sparked international attention across digital, print and broadcast media
