    Lasca Dry

    Singer-songwriter (TAS/WA)

Tasmanian-born singer-songwriter Lasca Dry has carved out a distinctive place in Australia’s indie-pop landscape, blending heartfelt storytelling with a flair for bright, infectious melodies. Raised in Ulverstone, she grew up surrounded by the sounds of the 60s and 70s – music that continues to influence her warm, harmony-rich style today.

Lasca first came to attention as one half of folk-rock duo The Habits before stepping out on her own in 2015. Since then, her creative momentum has only grown. She completed a degree in songwriting at the Conservatorium of Tasmania and has since released a collection of original work that has resonated with listeners across the country. Her songs have gained traction on platforms such as triple j Unearthed, Rage and MTV, reflecting her rising profile and undeniable talent.

Her debut solo album, Sweet Sea Surrender, showcases her gift for crafting songs that sit somewhere between vulnerability and strength, exploring the complexities of navigating life’s turning points. More recently, her new music has continued to evolve with an energetic pop edge – full of shimmering guitars, soaring melodies and a spirited sense of defiance.
