Mia Barron
Folk-pop singer-songwriter (TAS)
Mia Barron is a Hobart-based folk-pop singer-songwriter whose calm, honest songs draw from personal stories and emotion. Born in Tasmania and raised in Germany, she lived there from age six to seventeen before returning to Tasmania on her own in early 2024. Music has been a constant companion throughout that journey, shaping both her voice and her songwriting style.
Influenced by artists such as Gracie Abrams, Searows and Noah Kahan, Mia writes stripped-back songs that explore change, connection and the quiet emotions that sit beneath everyday life. Her work centres on vulnerability, storytelling and a gentle approach to sound.
Mia released her first self-recorded EP Pages Unfolding in 2024. In 2026 she will perform at Party in the Paddock, Good Gumnuts and Bass in the Domain, and is currently preparing to release her new EP Faded Annotations, recorded at Frying Pan Studio and due out in May 2026.
