In the 1800s, Hobart was the most sexy, dangerous and cosmopolitan port in the world. The women who came here went from slum living and gin to fending off job offers and wedding proposals every week. And that was just the naughty ones!

This sharp-witted and original walking tour of Hobart’s historic Wapping area features rude jokes, bawdy songs and incredible story telling from Anna Kidd. Starting from Maria Lord’s  cottage and ending at The Hope and Anchor, you will be taken back to London to follow the fate of Hanny as she changes history.

The Founding Fathers may have found things but it was the Founding Mothers who filled this place with life, culture and made a lot of money.
