The festival’s first ever Singposium is a forum aimed at anyone who sings in a community choir; anyone who has thought about singing; choir leaders; future choir leaders; and educators, clinicians, allied health workers, legislators and funding bodies.

A stellar line-up of speakers and singers will present short presentations and Q&A’s on subjects that are sure to make you think, make you smile and make you sing. The aim is to recognise, understand, promote and encourage the power of group singing.

Speakers include Astrid Jorgensen (QLD Pub Choirs), Paul Jarman (NSW composer/conductor), teacher and former first lady of Tasmania, Frances Underwood; Vicky Jacobs (Glee Club VIC), Associate Professor Anne-Marie Forbes (UTAS) and the Modern Mãori Quartet (NZ).
