Venue Maps
You can find Festival of Voices in some of Tasmania’s most iconic venues. It’s no secret that some buildings in Hobart, particularly, are as old as they come (and tend to not have maps readily available)! We have provided a couple of maps below that will help you out in navigating our festival, otherwise we can impart the following wisdom to assist you on your way:
Hobart Town Hall
Head up the grand staircase and you’ll find your workshop venue at the top, otherwise catch the elevator from the right side of the stairs up to level one.
Hotel Grand Chancellor/Federation Concert Hall
One handy location that has it ALL! See map below.
Salamanca Arts Centre
Home of The Long Gallery (Singers’ Lounge), Founders Rooms and Peacock Theatre.
Peacock Theatre: Ground Floor, within Tricycle Café
The Long Gallery: Level one, up the main stairs and directly to your right, or follow the hallway from the elevator.
The Founders Room: Level two, up two flights of stairs and through the gallery to your right, or through the hall from the elevator and through the gallery on your left.
The Hedberg
Home of the Ian Potter Recital Hall and The Salon. See the below map.

COVID-19 Safety
We are making every effort to ensure our festival is as safe as possible for all singers, audience members, staff and volunteers. The festival has been working hard on the following:
- Ensuring that all patrons, staff, volunteers and singers are aware to not attend workshops and events if they are feeling ill
- Ensuring venues have the capacity for people to spread out and physically distance
- Providing masks at every venue to offer people wishing to wear one
- All festival staff and volunteers will be wearing masks
- Sanitiser available at every event
- Venue high touch point cleaning throughout every event
- Careful consideration of patron entry and exit practices as to not congest spaces
- Encouraging contactless payment to mitigate unnecessary germ transmission
Where you come in:
We can’t do it alone! Please consider the following in keeping yourself and others as safe as possible at Festival of Voices 2022:
- Stay home if you are feeling unwell
- Wear a mask if you feel more comfortable doing so
- Maintain your hand hygiene by utilising sanitiser on site and regularly washing your hands
- Direct your singing away from others if in close proximity (not directly at them)

You can be as creative as you like with this, whether it’s a shout out for your Reels, an improvised melody on Facebook, include our Festival details and whatever you feel best represents you.
Please link us to any post you make in the lead up to the festival or during the festival so we can re-share to our audiences.
Send it to us or tag @festivalofvoicestasmania
