Festival of Voices Board Chair and Board of Directors
Festival of Voices was founded in 2004 and is Tasmania’s original marquee cultural winter event. It incorporates Australia’s pre-eminent choral festival, a contemporary music festival, a regional activator, and Australia’s biggest winter singing school. Attracting around 30,000 participants annually it aims to spread joy and improve lives through singing.
As Chair of this voluntary incorporated association you will be expected to lead and Chair the meetings of the Board of Management. You will represent and build relations with Government, existing and new corporate sponsors and the community, and maintain a good working liaison with staff and volunteers.
Both the Chair, and potential directors, will have a variety of skills which may include business connections, fundraising, arts/cultural, finance and risk, marketing/PR, governance and/or tourism/events as examples. All will have confidence in being able to continue the strategy and success of FoV and provide positive representation within the community.
Be a part of this successful annual event on the Tasmanian cultural calendar.
If you would like to discuss either the Chair or a Director role further, enquiries can be made only to Peter Murfett of Murfett Management on 0488 444 295 or to firstname.lastname@example.org.
In the spirit of reconciliation, Festival of Voices acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. We pay our respect to their elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
