Calling all shower singers, car singers and musical theatre divas! 

This is your chance to dress up, sing and dance to your favourite musical theatre songs. Think Pub Choir meets Glee Club at one mass karaoke sing-off, featuring a live band, dancers, performers and lyrics up on the big screen. Grab your bestie and let’s party. One community, one voice, one mass karaoke, one big party!

This will be a fun-filled night of sensational singalong entertainment where you get to sing songs from:

Mary Poppins, Grease, The Lion King, Rocky Horror, Priscilla Queen of the Desert, The Greatest Showman, Boy from Oz, Mamma Mia, We Will Rock You, Shout the Musical, Strictly Ballroom and many more in a 90-minute stage extravaganza.   

Dress ups encouraged!

Getting to the venue 

  • The Tramsheds Function Centre is at 4 Invermay Road, Launceston TAS 7248 and is accessible through the side entrance in the adjacent Inveresk Carpark. 
  • A drop off zone is available in the Inveresk Carpark in the closest bay area to the Tramsheds entrance. 
  • 4 accessible parking spaces are available outside the Tramsheds entrance in the Inveresk Carpark. 

 

Guide Dogs and service animals are welcome in all FOV event venues.

  • High levels of sound and movement.  
  • Moving lights are featured at this venue and may shine on the audience throughout the show.

Getting to the venue 

  • The Hobart Town Hall is at 50 Macquarie St, Hobart TAS 7000 
  • A car park behind the Hobart Town Hall is available for drop offs, accessible from Elizabeth Street. Please see entryway to this carpark here. 
  • 2 accessible parking spaces are available in the Hobart Town Hall carpark, accessible from Elizabeth Street. Please see entryway to this carpark here.

Assistive Listening: 

  • A Hearing Loop is available at this venue. The technology requires the listener to wear a receiver on a lanyard and to insert an earpiece. Please contact the festival if you require use of one of these devices as availability is limited.

  • The Hobart Town Hall Ballroom on Level 1 is accessible to wheelchair users via lift on the ground floor, located to the right of the staircase. The lift is also accessible via the rear carpark and requires interaction with an intercom to gain access. This carpark is accessible from Elizabeth Street. Please see entryway to this carpark here 
  • Accessible bathrooms are available on Ground Floor of the Hobart Town Hall only.

While face masks are not mandatory at any FOV events, you are more than welcome to choose to wear one. Free medical face masks will be available at this event venue entrance upon request.

This event is a mixture of theatre-style seating and open dance space. Please be mindful of physically distancing from others when moving through the event space and while dancing.
