Jump in and Get Singing

This is the workshop designed for anyone who wants to simply have a crack!

Hobart Choir Director Jane Christie-Johnston – a firm friend of the festival – will be your personal cheer squad. Her infectious enthusiasm has warmed the hearts of every workshop attendee. Suitable for adult singers of all abilities, some singing will be in three or four part harmonies (all supremely led with joy and fun) with a repertoire that includes gospel and folk songs from around the world.

It’s going to be a big dose of fun, so join us at the wonderfully acoustic Hobart Town Hall.

Same Workshop, Two Date Options to Choose from:

Jane Christie-Johnston is the Director of the Sing For Your Life! Choir and a singer with guitar/vocals duo Silk and a cappella ensemble ThylaSing. And, because too much Christmas is never enough, in 2019 she launched the Ho-Ho-Hobart Christmas Choir!

Jane has previously sung with a cappella groups About Time and Heart & Soul. She also runs team-building singing workshops for corporate and community groups - even for people who are adamant they 'don't sing'!
Jane has a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Sociology, and an Advanced Diploma of Business Management and a long, eclectic CV and is comfortable working with a huge range of clients, performers, community groups and associates.

And if you trust her, she'll have you singing in no time.
