Monica Trapaga and The Pocket Trio are bringing this incredible jazz performance to Hobart, with the first ever cabaret show in the brand-new Studio Theatre.

Theatre Royal & Festival of Voices present

Monica is a consummate performer, her warmth and wit are instrumental to her success as an entertainer and jazz singer, featuring in major festivals across the world. She has described her “fairly crazy Latin family” as instrumental in developing her musical tastes and influencing her exploration of a range of contemporary styles performing with jazz, pop and big bands.

The Pocket Trio are a Feel-good jazz band with a focus on tight arrangements and groovy pockets. Together they swing with an incredible sense of energy and rhythm, guaranteed to provoke smiles, foot-tapping and good times.

Masks:

Festival of Voices is now a masked festival. Please bring a mask for every person in your group to this event. Persons 11 years and younger are exempted but encouraged to wear masks.

Contact tracing:

It is mandatory for all patrons to check in using the provided Check in TAS QR code at this event venue. If your device does not have QR-scanning capabilities, a member of your group is able to check you in as an additional person on their app. Otherwise, please speak to one of our staff to sign you in manually.

Hygiene and sanitation:

Our Festival venues undergo full sanitation before each show. To maintain our venue hygiene and sanitation practices, please have a spritz of sanitiser on your way in and make use of hand soap in the bathrooms.

Physical distancing:

This venue will abide by density restrictions of 2 squared metres per person.

Dancing:

There will be a dancing zone at this event, accessible to all patrons. The zone can hold a maximum of 250 movers and shakers at any one time.

Consumption of alcohol:

Alcohol will be served at this event. Under Public Health restrictions, you must be seated to consume alcohol in this venue. The only exception to this rule will be within the dancing zone, where you can have a boogie with your beverage.

Coat check:

To avoid any unnecessary transfer of germs, there will be no coat check facilities at this venue.
