Eva Cassidy – A Tribute

Eva Cassidy – A Tribute

6 July 2022  |  7:00 PM  |  Hobart Town Hall  |  $38 / $30

Janelle Stowe, Brendon Siemsen and Band

Tasmanian jazz and blues singer Janelle Stowe and guitarist Brendon Siemsen (Berklee and GIT alumni) together with their five-piece band will present artistic interpretations and personal reflection on Eva Cassidy’s life and works. You will hear many of Cassidy’s biggest hits and learn a little more about the American songbird who died prematurely in 1996.  Her legendary interpretation of classic songs like Over the Rainbow, Bridge over Troubled Water and Stormy Monday brought late acclaim with The Guardian once describing her as;

“a talent barely recognized in her lifetime, who went on to achieve rapturous posthumous acclaim.”

This will be a nostalgic and reflective evening performed by one of Tasmania’s best jazz and blues singers.
